Asking For What You Want

with Roberta Wall

There is a language that helps reveal what is hidden deep inside your heart – the language of Nonviolent Communication. What is your heart’s desire? What makes it hard for you to ask for what you really want?

NVC trainer Robert Gonzalez says that NVC is a process founded on a language and communication which guides our attention to that which is most human about us. What emerges when this process is lived is authentic, honest and empathic listening.

“Between a stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. The last of our freedoms is to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances” Viktor Frankl

Come to this introduction to Nonviolent Communication, the Art of Honestly Expressing what is important to you! This will be an experiential class open to beginners as well as seasoned practitioners of NVC. We will be working in small groups to practice expressing from the heart.

Roberta Wall is a lawyer, mediator, trainer, mindfulness practitioner, coach and activist. She is certified as a trainer in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by the Center for Nonviolent Communication. Roberta  offers trainings to public and private institutions, networks and organizations, government and social services agencies, schools, lawyers, mediators, doctors and social workers. These trainings are inspired by NVC and Dr. Marshall Rosenberg and by the teachings on Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh and the Dalai Lama, as well as by teachers, rabbis and rebbetzins from her root Jewish tradition.
