Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Self-Care:

You Can’t Stop the Waves but You Can Learn How to Surf

An invitation to gain greater balance, ease of being and enjoyment in life…This experiential workshop will provide an opportunity to learn simple yet powerful ways to respond more effectively to both short and long term stressful situations including physical and emotional pain, illness and injury and challenging life circumstances. Based upon the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, participants will learn a variety of formal and informal mindfulness practices which can be easily integrated into daily life and used anytime and anywhere.


Stephanie Speer, M.A. has been teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to individuals and groups for over 17 years. She is currently teaching the 8-week MBSR program at Stone Ridge Healing Arts. She received her professional training from Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. and Saki Santorelli, Ed.D. of the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. For further information, go to www.stephaniespeer.com
