Tayésha "Ty" Mely has a true passion for maternal health. As the eldest of 4 children, she has acted as her mother’s doula and was present for the birth of her two youngest siblings when she was 15 and 21 years old. Providing support during labor and postpartum is second nature for her.
In addition to working in the medical field for 5 years, she has over 6 years of experience working with infants and adolescents; both her personal and professional experiences will assure you that you are in the right hands.
She completed her Doula training through Ancient Song Doula Services in Brooklyn, New York and she received her certification in Herbalism through The Herbal Academy. She has worked with over 20 families and has experience with C-sections, VBAC, natural births in a hospital setting, home births and inductions.
She is dedicated to supporting families, and approaches birth and postpartum holistically while offering both physical and emotional support to the mother and their family.
