Judy will engage the group in mind-body exercises and experiments that will result in participants' awareness and freedom of movement. This class will provide opportunities for release from habitual ways of thinking and being in the world. Having choice brings freedom.

In This Class You Will Learn How To:
1. Foster a connection between body, mind, emotions and spirit to facilitate healing and personal development.
2. Using “presence” tune into your soul and feel what your body needs
3. Uses slow, mindful movements to improve strength, flexibility, and body-mind integration

Judy Swallow has been practicing and teaching the Rubenfeld Synergy Method® for over 40 years. She is also a psychotherapist who uses action methods and expressive arts, especially psychodrama in her work and her life. She uses Feldenkrais experiments and the Alexander method to bring body awareness and Imagery to enhance movement and desired attitudes.

Judy Swallow, MA, LCAT (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist), TEP, is a co-director of Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute. She is Certified as a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy and was the Senior Psychodramatist at Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, N.Y. where she worked for over twenty years with inpatient and outpatient adults including the dually diagnosed. Judy is a certified family therapist and a trainer and practitioner of Rubenfeld Synergy®, one of the pioneering bodymind approaches to awareness and healing. She has had a private practice in Hudson Valley for over forty years. She is a co-creator of Playback Theatre, practiced around the world.
