Marbletown Community Center
3564 Main St., Stone Ridge, NY
As people who serve, helping others to experience greater inner peace and wellbeing is our whole-hearted focus. But what about our own well-being? Stress, burn out and compassion fatigue can enter into the mix. We are living in times of transformation, and we are all facing unusual stress from a variety of factors that appear to be beyond our control. The usual client load and stresses of serving others can leave us little time or energy for facing, let alone meeting, our own needs.
Offered by Sacred Reciprocity: Suggested donation at the door $20, or pay it forward by giving service or an act of kindness to someone in need.
This experiential evening will include:
• Radical self-care in our own lives
• Releasing the intense energies of the people we are serving and the impact it has on our wellbeing
• Balancing responsibilities with dharma and flow
• A Fast, effective tool for releasing energies from clients, family and the public
• Lift – a priceless strategy to help with pain, stress, depression and burn out
• How we can help Lift community consciousness
• Sacred music and kirtan with Maitreya, Sada and Carrie Grossman
Join veteran healer and inspirational teacher Shakti Durga for a time of nurturing and sacred music. Maitreya, Sada and Carrie Grossman will be joining us to use the power of sound to gently awaken and to learn some strategies for your own wellbeing and protection. Shakti Durga is a former barrister and is the founder of the Well Being Initiative, which operates in Australia, USA, China and UK. She is author of 5 books and numerous meditation and sacred music cd’s. She teaches internationally and has trained thousands of energy therapists. Her commitment is to continually bring more love than ever into all facets of life.
Expect a talk, meditation, wellbeing practice, time for questions, kirtan music and some suggestions for continuing to lift and strengthen through turbulent times. You will leave feeling lighter and more nurtured.
