Transitioning a shrubby or wooded landscape into a productive multipurpose garden can be challenging, but with the right approach and strategy it can be fun and rewarding. Bring your pruners and gloves if you want to participate in some of the summer maintenance work.
Erik Schellenberg is a permaculture teacher and has his own permaculture operation at Black Creek Farm and Nursery where he propagates and sells food and medicinal crops that are adapted to the northeast.
