Black Creek Farm and Nursery welcomes you to a farm tour in the form of a walking discussion about the food system. We will talk about what we do on our farm, how we got to this point and where we're going, with ample room to shift the conversation in whichever direction is most valuable for the people present.
The themes that will be discussed are how to reduce pollution in agriculture, perennial systems, and questions of governance and power structures that constrain or prevent the development of equitable regional food systems.
All of these threads are joined together into the fabric of holistic health.
Erik Schellenberg is a permaculture teacher and educator through the Cornell Cooperative Extension. He owns and runs Black Creek Farm and Nursery where he propagates and sells food and medicinal crops that are adapted to the northeast.
