Clove Valley Community Farm
81 Clove Valley Rd, High Falls, NY
All are welcome to join in this beloved annual tradition of garlic planting ~ a community celebration at the end of the growing season!
Come learn about this incredible plant with numerous uses and health benefits. A plant that can be enjoyed in meals at various stages of growth and whose seed enhances the flavor of many well-known dishes.
As a community we will learn how garlic is prepared and planted, why it's planted in the fall and when to harvest it. Then we will get out into the gardens and enjoy being together while we plant.
If you already have experience with garlic planting, come anyway to participate in this joyous community event!
If you are interested in planting garlic in your own garden, start making space now and apply what you learn at this gathering in planting your own garlic at home.
Soup will be provided for all to enjoy once the planting is finished, along with music around the fire. Bring instruments if you'd like to share in the music making!
Please carpool if possible - parking is very limited. And leave dogs at home please. Thanks!
