Learn Functional Medicine and Herbal practices for seasonal mood support at this 2 hour workshop in Midtown Kingston, NY!

This workshop is for anyone wanting practical ways to support emotional and mental health through the changing seasons. As autumn moves into winter, and the temperature and length of day shifts, it is easy for us to feel less vibrant and turn blue in mood.  However, with evidence-based tools and daily rituals presented in this workshop by functional medicine coach and clinical herbalist Ashley Lathrop you will be invited to shine your beautiful light through the winter!
Functional medicine looks at the root causes of dis-ease to address them from an integrated medical perspective (a traditional/natural medicine approach that does not overlook the benefits of modern/conventional medical care). The aim is to bolster wellness throughout the body and to not focus solely on the symptoms.

In this class you will learn how food, herbs, movement, stress reduction techniques, and exposure to light can help to maintain vital energy, mood and immune health throughout the winter.

We will make a mood boosting rid-the-winter-blues spray and drink mood boosting herbal tea while we discuss the many ways we can uplift ourselves while the leaves and snow falls.

Ashley Sapir Lathrop is grateful to live, forage and grow herbs in the Hudson Valley, beneath the Shawangunk Mountains. She is rooted in traditional medicine practices that connect people to plants. She is a clinical herbalist with an expertise in functional medicine. After working virtually for the past few years, with an Integrative Medicine Clinic in Westchester, Ashley is excited to be meeting with people in person in New Paltz, at the Sunset Healing Collective.
