Woodland Pantry Food Studio
Kingston, NY
Tanya will share her playful approach to fermenting and how this alimentary practice can cultivate health beyond the consumption of our homemade probiotic vegetables. Tanya’s style of fermentation arose from curiosity, exploration and the diligence of trial-and-error-ing over the last decade as she addressed her own health challenges.
Leaning on color and texture so as to eat with the yes first, we will muse personal probiotic ferments to bring home and inoculate one’s day to day with this beautiful and potent way to take care.
TANYA HIMEJI ROMERO
An artist, in process, perspective and creation. Over the last decade, her artistry has materialized in her work as a forest farmer, plant steward, herbalist and kitchen witch. Plants and food are her principle mediums currently and though they hold their own specific characteristics in terms of healing potential, she believes any medium can be used to communicate our creativity, reverence and inherent connection.
SACRED RECIPROCITY
Though there is no charge for services, we encourage sacred reciprocity by making a donation, by offering volunteer service or by doing an act of loving kindness toward someone in need.
