Diana will introduce Permaculture through the Ethics and Principles that guide these practices.  By exploring this topic through discussion we will look at how this lens can connect us with the natural world and each other; considering best practices, ways to maintain health and how to design spaces and systems that work with the natural energies, materials and resources present in the environment.

Diana Seiler has loved being in nature since she was a baby; on hikes with her family, passing time under pine tree bows and high up in tree limbs, lost in the delights of picking raspberries, canoeing lakes, snowboarding and camping.  As an adult, she has been devoted to social permaculture and ways to minimize waste and connect to the natural world through closed looped systems and practices.  She took her Permaculture Design Certification course in the Spring of 2007 with the well-known Australian Permaculturalist Geoff Lawton, studied wilderness awareness skills at the Art of Mentoring, and organized gatherings through the Northeast Womxn in Permaculture at the Omega Institute over a number of years. She applies her experience in landscaping, gardening and social permaculture daily in how she views and engages life. She is the Director of Soil to Soul and is grateful to be sharing the knowledge of the natural world with those who attend these HHC offerings.
