This beautifully filmed movie is an ethnographic film by Hugo De Burgos on Medical Pluralism in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada. “Medical Pluralism” is the convergence and coexistence of multiple healing modalities which create the space for patients to choose. It features Dr. Gabor Maté, the internationally known Canadian biomedical physician and author; Dr. Harbaksh; Dr. Naomi McPherson, a cultural anthropologist and Dr. Hugo De Burgos a medical anthropologist. It shows a variety of local and native healers.
