The co-op is thrilled to announce our first-ever food justice film series, in collaboration with the Rosendale theatre, a number of local farmer-activists, and the Soil to Soul program, which is part of the work of the Holistic Health Community. The series will consist of three dynamic, important films about different aspects of our world's food system.

Documentary | 1 Hour 45 Minutes | $10 Admission /$6 Members

The first film, Common Ground, the highly anticipated sequel to the documentary, Kiss the Ground, which was viewed by over 1 billion people globally and inspired the USDA to put $20 billion toward soil health, will be shown at the Rosendale Theatre on Thursday, January 25th, at 7pm. Following the film, a small group of local farmer-activists will form a panel to discuss their individual pictures of what is happening, and what needs to happen, etc., to support the regenerative ideals the film illustrates. The panelists include Jesse Goldfarb, from Tributary Farm in High Falls; farmer, attorney, writer, and activist Andi Novick, of Crone Grown in Dutchess County; environmental educator, naturalist, farmer and teacher Creek Iverson, of Kingston's Seed Song Farm; and Diana Seiler, director of the Holistic Health Community's Soil to Soul program.

We are very excited to hear from these folks, our local experts, and to be part of bringing this award-winning documentary film to the Hudson Valley.

Winner of the Human Nature Award given by the Tribeca Film Festival, Best Documentary awarded by the Red Nation International Film Festival, Mass Impact Award and Best Eco Film winner at the Boston Film Festival, and winner of the Documentary Impact Award from the TVE Global Sustainability Film Awards, Common Ground has been lauded by the media across the globe.
