Nourishment can come in so many forms. When it comes to food, there are so many variables and layers of consideration that can elevate a simple meal and or serve as the edible fortitude your body and spirit needs in a given moment.
Join artist/herbalist Tanya Himeji Romero of Woodland Pantry at Marbletown community center for a discussion and dinner as she shares her philosophy of intuitive eating, relying on color, texture, nostalgia and intuition to navigate the very important task of feeding oneself with health, inspiration, playfulness and ease throughout the day.
The evening will begin with a discussion and sharing circle around our relationship to food and lead into useful and cumulative suggestions to deepen, invigorate and inspire new perspectives and ways to nourish ourselves.
We will end our time together by bringing our learning and curiosity to the table and into practice by sharing a meal. Woodland Pantry staples such as fermented vegetables, nutritive salts and medicinal dressings will be featured alongside seasonal vegetables to inform and inspire.
